Man has the highest civilisation in the world. But due to the many shortcomings in the amount of work done in accordance with it, the amount of people who are tempted to make mistakes has increased. When an ornament made of gold, gems and diamonds shines around the neck, the person who wears it makes a great effort to protect it as long as he remembers it. Similarly, if it is lost, he also makes a lot of effort to get it back. Similarly, if it is damaged due to some wrongdoing done by him, he makes even more effort to create it again as it was. But even if he has the ability to see the alienated human qualities that have been there or to repair them if they are broken due to his own wrongdoings at certain times, he remembers that mistake as his own.
In terms of civilization, we all inherit a lot of respect. But those who destroy all that respect and dignity will surely sit down and sigh, asking themselves, "What has happened to me?" It will not be because of anything else but the unkindness in their hearts.
Just as a dog can do all the tasks that a human can do, so too should a human be able to do all the tasks that a human can do. Some animals have human qualities that are nurtured in them. When we look into this, we will have to consider animals as superior to humans at certain times. We are nurtured as perfect and self-sufficient people in terms of civilization and religion from birth. But at certain times, we will be created as ignorant people who do not know all that by pursuing the desires that arise in our minds. We strive to engage in various wrong activities based on the three doors of mind, body and speech. Then, as a result, the natural mental state is distorted with a miserable mentality and becomes a fool. This is because, either in accordance with the civilization that one has or because one is not accustomed to properly handling all the weapons that one has by birth. The happiness and joy in the life of all of us are determined by the activities that one has done. The Buddha also said this.
A person is not a Brahmin or a vagabond by birth. That is determined by the activities that he has done.
This was preached by our Tathagata Buddha, who was like an incomparable eye to the three worlds in the past 2500 years of history. It will not be a question for the wise that it is valid then, today, and in the future.
If a person cannot behave in accordance with the civilization that he has by birth, he will be tempted to have a wrong mentality. If we sit in that mindset and do or say anything, it is like a great machine of evil that creates destruction for ourselves and others. Let us examine this as an example. Let us all examine the five vices. What are they?
1. I will refrain from killing others
2. I will refrain from taking the property of others
3. I will refrain from enjoying pleasures as I please
4. I will refrain from lying
5. I will refrain from using drugs that cause impatience
Let us examine these and other points carefully.
First, if we are trying to take the life of another, then our mind should be distorted. Then the intellect should be distorted. In this way, the activity of the mind should be completely or at least run fast in the path of thoughts of killing others. Then, regardless of the obstacles, we can perform the Pranagata. See how much effort we have given to our natural mind? Also, after committing that act, how much do we blame ourselves for it during our lifetime, knowing that it was a mistake? Also, how much suffering do we have to face before the law? Why did we have to endure all these hardships? Isn't it because we didn't think about our own civilization to some extent? Isn't that why?
How many miserable and helpless situations do we face by stealing other people's things? Why did we end up in that situation? First of all, isn't it because we didn't remember what good or bad will happen to us by doing it? Because of that, we will have to face various accusations from society and even appear before the law and face serious charges and imprisonment. Why did all these hardships happen? Let us leave it to our wisdom to think about it.
Isn't it because of unsatisfied lust that people who have their own wife or husband look for other people? Then, as a result, don't they face the accusations of others in society due to various problems in their family environment? If they have children based on that, won't they be begging on the streets and being harassed by others? And won't they be subjected to accusations and insults from many people in the presence of the law? Why do such things happen? Isn't it because they don't remember their own civilization?
If someone engages in lying and gossiping and using empty and harsh words that hurt the hearts of others, his life will also be in a similar situation. He will also have to live amidst the insults of others and will have to appear before the law at some point.
Accordingly, all of us face various inconveniences and problematic situations that our minds cannot solve due to certain misdeeds that are said to be against our civilization. Then what is the treatment that we are accustomed to giving to our minds to calm it down? Isn't it drugs that lower the functioning of our mind and intellect? Then won't we sink even lower in our morality? We have many opportunities to listen and inquire about all this. But without thinking about it, a wise inquirer can understand where we are going. Who is the only creator who is doing all this? Isn't it himself? If so, isn't it our destruction?
When a person with human civilization tries to contradict it, it will be like putting the manuals for a great weapon of destruction in good shape and putting it in place. The time for us to act wisely will not be today or the day after tomorrow. Let us inquire about this well, think about it, and strive to do that. You do not know that philosophers in other countries who have received good advice from all these matters act in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha, the great sage who preached with a good understanding of human civilization. If you do know, is it not because our thinking power has fallen into a distorted state? And we ourselves are creating that distorted state? If so, we should even now inquire about it wisely and work hard to do so. Otherwise, all the spiritual qualities and goodness that we all have will wither and fade away. We should always keep this in mind and not postpone the day by thinking that the day is today or the day after tomorrow, because,
We cannot properly conclude that the sun that will rise tomorrow will rise in front of us. There is a great possibility that it may not rise in front of us and even if it does rise, it may be covered by a dark cloud. Since we cannot fully understand this, let us examine these facts carefully and try to remain in a fading civilization. It will be a good help for the awakening of our lives and future.
We should never follow others to defeat them. If there is a right path that we understand to be right, if that path does not contradict civilization, let us follow it. It is the only lamppost that guides us to shine in our lives and lead us to success.
