If you don't control your anger, they will only harm you.

During the time we live, various problematic mentalities arise in front of us. If we get angry without any purpose at every moment that arises, then our thinking power will completely fade away. The reason for this is? The mind is the only weapon that lays the foundation for all of us to do every task. No other powerful scientist in the entire universe has yet discovered such a powerful thing. But the Buddha, who is like an incomparable eye to the three worlds, has preached about it very well. Even if various problems arise in front of us on various occasions, should we get angry in the face of those problems? No, we should not get angry at any moment. The reason is that the answer lies with that problem. If we, as a group following the path of the Buddha, act in accordance with his teachings, we should not get angry at any moment. How many archers, elephants, and demons came to the Buddha and tried to harass him? But were they able to succeed in their efforts? No, why was that? Was it not because the Buddha did not get angry in any way?

After the Venerable Devadatta had sent the archers and elephants away from the Buddha, the Lord, who knew this very well, advanced like a great and brave lion, with what weapon? Was it not the quality of patience? That is why he was able to tame a huge beast. Otherwise, would even the elephant herdsman be able to tame an elephant that was raging with great anger at certain times? Why did the King of Elephants, when he could not do so, come to the Buddha and kneel down and take refuge in the Lord? Isn't it because the Buddha was not angry but was compassionate and patient? All of us are born into this world because we have all the weapons we need to survive in the world, and all those weapons are provided to us by ourselves. But even if we have those weapons, we have to be trapped in various sufferings because we don't know how to use them.

The demon Alavaka came to the Buddha's place, lamenting greatly, and said, "Get out of my divine abode." Didn't the Buddha hear that and go out? After expressing himself three times, didn't he somehow erase the anger in Alavaka's heart, understand the nature of his mind, and based on that, make him develop wisdom? Wasn't the weapon he used there patience? What would have happened if the Buddha had taken up his sword and dagger and prepared to fight him at that moment? The possibility of defeat without the ability to perform any task well is huge, isn't it? We all need to understand that well. We need to understand it and act accordingly. We are all true human beings. If a group of people with a good and beautiful civilization act in the same way, the entire human world can shine. If even one person acts in accordance with our civilization, others will look at that and try to adapt. That was practically made clear to the entire universe by the Buddha.

The path of samsara is scary, you have to walk wisely. Then you can cross this ocean of samsara. If you don't do that, we will all be lost in this ocean of samsara and stay here and there, swimming here and there.

What should you do when a problem comes to you? Do you know anything about that problem? Have you done any action that is necessary for that problem to arise? How are you involved in it? If you realize that you have not engaged in any action related to this problem when we ask you this, then you should sit quietly and ask yourself if this problem arises because of an action done by someone. Then you can understand your own innocence. But in certain situations, if someone accuses us with various harsh words, should we be angry? No. That is a reflection of the low qualities that exist in his mind. We should not be angry with that. If we get angry because of someone else's mistake, we will also be in that situation. Knowing that, if we get angry and clash with him, whether we have a mistake or not, wouldn't we have built an image in society that we are just like him? So, do we build a wrong image for ourselves and want to show it to others? Should we appreciate it? No. We should not appreciate it at any time. So what should we appreciate? When someone scolds us in front of a group with harsh words, we laugh and listen silently, as if we did not hear it, but the image of a good personality created in that moment. How did the Buddha come close and scold the brahmin Akkosaka? But the Buddha did not listen to it. He, a great and courageous lion, heard it with a loud voice, but sat down as if he had not heard it, and gave the necessary answer and went about his work. If we also know this and try to become lions instead of becoming foxes among dogs, or dogs, it is a weapon of great power that we possess.

If we use the kindness, compassion, equanimity, and detachment that we possess to help ourselves first with the four-faced practices, then that help will gradually be created to help the entire world. To make the body shine, we must decorate it with gold, silver, and pearls. Similarly, to make life shine, we must be perfect in virtue. Then a greater shine than gold, silver, and pearls will emanate from our body. For example, look at the Buddha, did he shine with such a dense radiance because he was wearing various ornaments? No, right? Isn't it a gift from nature to him because of the virtues he possessed? We should remember all this with wisdom. Then our minds will plan correctly what we should and should not do. Then it is up to us to work according to that plan.

At the time of our birth, a light with a bright face shone in us. Isn't it because of that light that those who see it declare that we are a virtuous child? How did we get that bright appearance? Isn't it because of the pure nature of the mind that we brought into this world from birth? During our childhood, our mind is in its natural state. But then, anger arises in the small mind, which is oppressed by the various activities of parents and neighbors, and the body will become discolored due to conflicting thoughts. We all know very well that this is due to anger in the blood. So what should we do? Let us maintain the mind, which is a great gift from nature, in a healthy state and clarify all our intentions.
